Halloween Activities

Today was a busy day. I love when my day's are filled with things to do. The kids aren't bored and I don't have to sit home all day.

This morning we went to Aiden's Kindergarten Halloween Parade. Afterward, I was in charge of helping with the class party. I manned the Pumpkin decorating station. It was great to put a face with the names of friends Aiden has been telling me about. He looks so big compared to everyone else in his class. He's a whole head taller than all of them. One mom couldn't believe he was still five. Not for too long. In a couple of weeks he'll be turning six.

I decided to dress up for the school party. Nothing extreme. I was a vampire and I put in my teeth and eyes to look the part. I don't think any of the kids noticed. The other mom's didn't say anything either. They probably thought I was radicilous. But I had fun anyway. I'm going to be Alice from Twilight tomorrow night. Actually a whole group of Cullen Vampires will make an appearance at the annual family party. What do you think of the contacts? A nice touch?

Stephen surprised us tonight with a bunch of templets for carving on pumpkins. I guess he was in a carving mood. We have NEVER carved pumpkins before. I hate all the work and the mess. Aiden is finally old enough to handle his own carving and Stephen was enthuastic so we got 8 or 9 pumpkins carved tonight. We are excited to display them on the front step for our Halloween Party tomorrow night.

Our halloween activities have been fun this month. We also went to Asher's Halloween Program at school. I was amazed at how quietly he sat and actually sang the songs. He did pick his nose a bit but he looked adorable. I can't believe how big he is.

We went to Red Butte Garden's Halloween Activity last weekend. We met up with our old Neighbors from Holladay and had a fabulous time. We even threw bedtime out the window and stayed out unil 10pm (that's not like us). The kids were being excellent, even Macy, so we decided to go out and get dessert after Red Butte. We needed a fun night out.

I'm excited for Halloween tomorrow. I hope everyone has a fun safe time.
