Card Club

In my ward there is a card club. It is where each person makes 10 of the same handmade cards and we get together and exchange them.

So I've been going to card club for almost a year now. It's fun to make the cards and I used to think I was creative, until I met my fellow card club members. Their cards are way cuter than mine, but I don't let it get to me. I know I'll be going home with one of theirs and getting 9 of my mediocre cards out of my house.

Now my problem is not wanting to send out their cute cards. I just want to hoard them for myself. It pains me to think about writing on them. One of the girls at club suggested just putting my note on a separate paper in the envelope, so not to "ruin" the card.

I think I'll try that.

Here's my surplus of handmade cards.

So now sending the cards can be considered recycling. If you ever get one of the "cute" cards and there is a separate sheet of paper in there, you can reuse the card and send it on. But, you probably won't get too many of the really cute ones-those are all for me :)

I just finished my ten tonight and I thought I'd show them off.
I made the envelopes, sewed them with my sewing machine, made the little button that says; sending my love, and then used rub off sticker things for decoration.

Now I'll show you what I'm up against . . .

I got this card last month. You pull on the green ribbon and all the little Christmas pictures start rotating around so you can read each one-ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! I would never be able to make this!

I would love for you to waste some of these cards on me. I promise I will love them as much as you do.
