Aiden's Baptism

It was a big day for Aiden this weekend. He was Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! What an important decision for him to make and we are very pleased that he decided to do it. Stephen wanted to make sure that he knew this was his choice and that he didn't have to get baptized if he wasn't ready, but he decided that this was something he wanted to do. He was so sweet the night before when he asked me to say a prayer that dad would do the baptism correctly. :) And he sure did! Stephen did a wonderful job and Aiden looked so much older to me dressed all in white. I asked him who he would like to speak at his baptism and he decided on Grandma Marley and Grandma Bettwieser. Both gave wonderful talks and I felt very happy and peaceful listening to them explain what it means to be baptized and having the Holy Ghost to be with you.

He received many wonderful gifts for his baptism. From us, he got a new suit to wear. I had to buy him a size 12 because he's just such a big kid and he looked and felt very grown up It is so nice that everyone is excited for him and I know he really felt of everyones love. After it was all through we got in the car and he said, "that was really fun!"

I can't believe I have an Eight year old child! Eight more years and he will be driving!
