The big day of the race came and our Aiden took first in 4 races and 2nd in 1 race giving him the overall win. He also got the award for best overall design! He's one happy boy!

First Place
For Cub scouts this month they held a Space Derby. The kids were given a rocket kit with 2 pieces of wood that they were to build into a rocket. Aiden was really excited about the project and began working on it right away. He and Stephen went to the hardware store to find parts and built their own lathe to smooth out the block of balsa wood into the beautiful shape it is now. Aiden designed the wings and fin and spray painted it. It was a great father/son project!
