"Lightening McQueen"

When I asked Asher what kind of party he wanted for his 3rd Birthday, he screamed, "Lightening McQueen!"

We had a fun party this morning at my mom's house and it was all centered around the movie CARS. I found all the table decorations at Walmart and then I made a few of my own. I spent a whole day making road signs, banners, and checkered flags. I love to make a BIG DEAL out of each of my kids birthdays. I found colored Duck Tape, and made an obstacle course, and race track in my mom's cul-da-sac. We decorated and made licence plates for the bikes, had speed races, and had a fun pinata.
No party is complete, in Stephen's eyes, without music. So, he set up his speakers and downloaded the CARS soundtrack to play during the party. He brought along his wireless mike and DJ'd the festivities.
The kids(mostly cousins) had a fabulous time, as well as the adults.

We've made it a tradition to take a picture side by side with each of our kids on their birthday's. I thought I would post all 3 years of Asher's birthday pictures.

I can't believe he's already 3. It just seems like yesterday we were bringing a scrawny screaming baby home from the hospital, and look at him now! He's so beautiful, and a sweetheart. He melts every one's heart.
He is feisty, and very aggressive (he beats on Aiden all the time) but he just fits in so well with us. He surprises me everyday with something he says or learns. He is the messiest child that ever was,( I have a lot of proof if you don't believe me.) My mom says he needs a bell so you always know what "mistist" (as aiden calls mischief) he's getting into. We love him very much and he's such a joy!
