Today was a good day.

I spent time individually with each child, I cooked, did laundry, walked Aiden to school and felt happy. Of course everything can't be perfect. I had a few tantrums to deal with, a potty accident and I got stung by a bee, but life was pretty much perfect today. How I wish most days would go.

Bright and Early this morning Aiden informed me he would handle breakfast and not to worry. He's very mature for his age so don't get scared at the next bit of information.

He made "egg tortilla's" for us all. He's been watching his dad way too closely and followed exactly the way Stephen makes scrambled eggs. He cracks the eggs into a Tupperware, puts on the lid, shakes it to death, sprays the pan, turns on the burner, dumps his scrambled mixture into the pans and uses a spatula to move everything around until it congeals into scrambled eggs. Then he wrapped the eggs into a tortilla, like a burrito and fed all the kids their breakfast. I didn't touch a thing.

After breakfast, we were running a bit late for Asher's preschool, but for once I really didn't care. I wasn't in the mood to rush and we just left when we could. After Asher was off, I put Macy down for a nap and Aiden and I made bread. He loves to work in the kitchen and handled putting all the ingredients in the mixer. He helped to shape a small loaf and then we delivered the extra's to our neighbors.

We picked up Asher, ate the hot bread and walked Aiden to Kindergarten. Macy headed down for her second nap of the day and Asher and I went to play in the playroom. We played "Pop Up Pirate," and played on the paint program on the computer, practicing Alphabet letters. It was nice to have one on one time with him, I worry he gets a bit neglected.

Later in the afternoon, the boys played in the backyard and Macy and I spent some quality time with pudding. Her yummy snack quickly turned into finger painting, she was having too much fun for me to stop her. I had to hose her down in the kitchen sink and she loved every minute of it.

We were able to walk to the grocery store after pudding and picked up some dinner supplies. I actually made dinner tonight. It's hard to find the motivation to cook dinner when Stephen gets home so late. My kids are so picky, it doesn't seem worth the hassle for something they won't eat. But I made some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and the kids actually ate well. We decided to deliver some dinner to my single starving brothers who live fairly close. We dropped off dinner to their condo and on the way home stopped at the library's park for a little fun.

Day's like this are hard to come by at our house. I wish they were more frequent, but I'll take what I can get.
