Asher will be the death of me. He is so destructive and messy. I've never seen anyone like him. Today he colored all over the walls with Purple crayon. He SHOULD know better! He is constantly put in timeout and nothing seems to "sink in" with him. I know what people say about spanking, but I feel (at times) there is no other resort.
So, Yes I spank, I admit it.
I don't do it all the time, but when I really need to get the kids attention it seems like the best way.
I was raised with spanking and sometimes I feel kids today don't have respect for adults. Perhaps it's because everyone is so adverse to spanking. Maybe a good thump on the rear every now and then will do some good.

We have the same problem. It's almost like Carson enjoys timeout. I think that makes me even more angry. I usually get a much more effective response with the REALLY bad stuff if I give a little spank.

I completly agree. If you go against what I asked the first time you will then get thumped. I don't have to do it often. I have had my kids fall asleep in the corner a few times. I wonder why 12year olds end up stabbing their parents..was it maybe the lack of discipline? So many stories on the news and parent worrying about getting the authorities called. Parents need to have respect, we deserve it. Your a great Mother!!Good luck.
