The boys first session of swimming lessons is complete. I started them in level one, seeing as this is their first experience with lessons. Aiden passed level one and two and Asher is still in level one.
Now it's on to Ice Skating lessons. Aiden took last year, and loved it. I don't even know if Asher can stand up straight in ice skates, but I didn't want him to feel left out. I let them watch Mighty Ducks the other day and Asher keeps telling me he wants to play hockey so he can, "push people down." I said, "what if they push you down?"
"I'll just jump over them."
He's just such an agressive kid. He has a temper and a set of fists that he's not afraid to use. My brother Bracken said that at our Mother's day party Aiden was teasing Asher and when Asher had had enough, he twisted his little body around until he had Aiden in a perfect headlock and then started punching him in the head. (Bracken thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen) I think that he's going to get in a lot of trouble someday.
Actually that someday has come quicker than I would like. Yesterday at the park a little kid threw sand at Asher so he picked up the closest thing to him and hucked it at the kid. It happened to be a rock and it hit him in the forehead. He was bleeding all over and I was so embarrased that my son caused it. I'm sure this will not be the last time something like this happens.
I probably should find a way to channel his aggression. Maybe Hockey, or wrestling or even football. Boy, would daddy like that:( (he's not big into football)
