Macy's Quilt

(measures 24"x24")
Macy has been in a phase where she wants to drag her huge baby quilts around town with us. I usually end up carrying them, as well as her and I'm getting tired of it. I had a bunch of left over fabric in my closet so I decided to make her a tiny quilt that she can bring along.

It was a really fun project and I think I might take up quilting now!

I also got around to taking pictures of the apron I made this past winter. I had such fun with this fabric. I tied the apron around Macy one afternoon and it looked like a dress. She was wearing it all around the house and Stephen thought it was so cute that he said I should make a real dress for her. I was excited for the challenge. I really liked the ruffles, but I didn't have a girls dress pattern that was what I wanted. I ended up combining three patterns and doing a little of my own designing in there too.

I'm happy to report that she actually wears this dress. A lot of my creations only last for the initial wearing and then I don't like them anymore, or they look uncomfortable, or they are just too snug. She looks adorable in it and it has been a great winter dress.
