Fun in Holladay

We just got home from a nice evening in Holladay. We got together with some of our friends and had a fabulous evening. Right when we got there Macy gave Tracee Findley a giant hug, so unlike her. She must have reminded her of someone she knows. The kids headed to the pool and I told Asher to wait until Stephen was done talking and he would come swim with him. But do you think he listened?

I was sitting at the table talking when I had this feeling to look over to the pool. There was Asher flailing under the water trying to get up. I ran over, jumped in fully clothed with my shoes on and pulled him out. Luckily he was in the more shallow end so I only had to get wet up to my arm pits. This is a first for me and hopefully the last. I think this proved a good point why the boys need to keep taking swimming lessons. If only for my peace of mind.

Macy was in a great mood tonight. She was hugging a kissing everyone! I have never seen her go up to a stranger, climb up on their lap, grab their face and kiss them on the lips. She absolutely loved Tracee Findley. She even gave some of the dad's kisses too! Stephen and I were just laughing to see her act this way. She's usually the one hitting and pushing people, not giving loves.

She fell asleep in the car on the way home and when I carried her to bed, she woke a bit and said to me, "mom?!... goodnight... I love you!" MELT MY HEART! What a sweetie! She even called me back a second time to tell me she loved me. These are the moments that make it all worth it!
