A field trip to the Grocery Store

How exciting can a field trip to the grocery store be? It actually was very fun.

I volunteered to go with Aiden's class on their field trip. The store is just down the road from school so it was close enough to walk. I thought Macy would enjoy the outing too, so I pushed her in the stroller. I heard that we were going to see the Worlds Largest Display of Oranges. I thought this sounded pretty silly, but then we got there. It turned out that is was a big ta-doo. There were news crews and employees all waiting by the door for us. (We were the first class from the school) The oranges really were impressive. There was ALOT of oranges! They guided us through a maze of oranges and then gave us a tour of the back rooms. I've always wondered what's back there. We made our way back around to the front where Santa was waiting for all the kids (they were very excited, even Macy was excited) The kids all got gift bags(with an oragne of course) and balloons.

I think it was a fun field trip. I glad I could spend the time with Aiden. He tells me that Wednesdays are his favorite days at school. He gets piano lessons in the morning, library at school and he gets his mom to volunteer in his class. He always is excited when i come, which makes me feel good. It's nice to know he's not embarrased of me yet.

Way to go Centerville! That's so fun. I can't wait to be a volunteer in one of my kids classes. I love the last pic of the balloons. How cute!
