Zoo Day

Since I was hopeful that we would be moving away to med school by now, I didn't plan too many activities for July and August. Our June was filled to the brim with; swimming lessons, bowling, gymnastics, dance classes, piano lessons, and playgroups.

Well, we are still here and I've been in need of activities. A lot of the neighborhood kids are away on vacations so my kids have been bored at home. Yesterday we took some of our friends out to Classic in Sandy. We had a great time bouncing, climbing and swimming. It really is a great place to take your kids. It was nice to wear them out and then have a mellow evening.

Today we decided to make it a zoo day. I'm not one for planning ahead or else I would have invited some friends to come along. I'm more of a spur of the moment type of girl. When I have an idea I want to do it right then. We ended up having a great day at the zoo. There was a nice breeze, so it wasn't too hot and the animals were all in fun moods. The gorilla's were right up next to the glass and we got to stay and watch them for a good while.

The tiger was also very close to the glass today. Usually he's up hiding in his habitat and the kids can't see him, but today he was right there.

We even got a show from two very playful monkey's. We could hear all these funny noises, and couldn't figure out what type of animal would sound like that. It turned out to be the monkey's swinging around and having a great time.

I wonder what we'll do tomorrow.....
