Children's Parade

We have never participated in the children's 4th of July parade. Our neighbors kept telling us what fun it is so we decided to give it a try. Aiden really wanted to drive his power wheels with the giant speaker in the back. The kids all decorated their rides with streamers and Aiden blasted Beach Boys music along the 2 1/2 block parade route. At the end there are Popsicles and you can go to the city park for food and entertainment. Macy was quite the funny little driver. I was worried she would take some poor kid out, but luckily Stephen was right there to pull on the car so she couldn't run anyone down. I will admit I was a bit embarrassed to draw so much attention to ourselves with the speaker, but Aiden was so excited about it, I couldn't burst his bubble.

Don't you love our coordinated tie-dye shirts? We made them at our neighborhood playgroup the day before and decided this was the perfect time to wear them. Luckily I made one for Stephen so he wouldn't feel left out.
