St. George

Aiden's on spring break at school so we decided to take a little trip. Actually my mom planned the whole thing. She took just me and the kids to St. George for the weekend. It was so very fun and relaxing. It was the kind of vacation Stephen and I should have gone on instead of Disneyland.

The weather was in the 80's, so we soaked up the sun. We went swimming every day and just hung out at the condo. The kids were remarkably well behaved and we had a blast. Aiden is really loving the water and tries to swim. He's never taken lessons but I think now is the time. Asher loves to float around the pool in his arm floaties, and Macy is quite the little water baby. She loved it! She just wanted to jump in. I had to keep a good eye on that one, she would just take off headed for the water.

We decided to go to the sand dunes one day and that was also great. Aiden didn't want to leave. Macy wasn't too keen on touching the sand and I had to laugh as she did everything she could to keep her feet on grandma's lap and off the sand.

The drive home was very long, and it's good to be home. We missed Stephen, though I'm sure he didn't miss us too much. He confessed that the house being clean, playing his music in the mornings, and have peace and quiet without intruptions was nice. I don't blame him one bit! When will he take the kids on 'acation" (as Asher says) and leave me home all to myself for a few days? Actually this invation is open to anyone who would like three extra kids on their next getaway.
