Aiden had his first soccer game last night. He's been wanting to play soccer for so long, but we always miss the signup's. Not this year!
I volunteered to be the Age Group Coordinator for his league and have been very busy. I had no idea what I was signing myself up for. I had to make all the teams(which was nice because I put Aiden with all his friends) and set up the schedules. Little did I know that I was also in charge of finding coaches for all 11 teams. Parents were not very willing to volunteer and 5 mass emails, personal phone calls and 4 weeks later, I finally found the last coach the day before the games started. Remind me not to volunteer again next year. I love to stay busy and with this job, primary president, and head chair for safety week at Centerville Elementary... I think I've got my hands full.
Aiden did great at his game. It's nice to see him sweating and running all over. I still can't get over the height difference. Every single kid playing is also in first grade. Aiden's going to be a giant if he keeps this pace up. He's already in size 5 shoes (that's into adults sizes now) and wears size 8 pants. The coach was joking with him and told him that he likes it when Aiden runs ahead and stands infront of the goal because he scares all the other players!
I'm excited to be a soccer mom. Even Asher will be playing on saturdays.
