Macy and Asher made a huge mess the other day while I was taking my shower. They got the hot chocolate mix out, dumped the powder into cups, filled it with cold water and then headed downstairs. When I arrived on the scene, there was chunky chocolate water spilled all over the carpet. I was mad! I put both of them in the tub and gave them a piece of my mind. I think they knew I wasn't happy about the mess.
Later that day I was downstairs and here comes Macy and Asher asking if they can watch cartoons. I explained that they weren't allowed to watch cartoon today because of their mess that morning. Then I started to walk back up stairs when Macy runs ahead of me and says, "I cean it up mom, you stay downstairs, I cean it up" She repeated this several times as she walked up the stairs backward making sure I wasn't following. I was just giggling inside at how cute she was, so I gave her and Asher a minute headstart and then followed. As I reached the bathroom she pops her head out and say, "I ceaned it up!" It turns out that they took a newspaper and ripped it into a millon pieces all over the bathroom. Luckily they did a fairly good job of throwing it all away.
I think she understands quite well that mom hates big messes.

We definatly miss you guys! Glad to see all is doing well, lets set up a play date Hudson would love it and then you could meet our little lady!
I'm trying to picture you mad and giving a piece of your mind! Nope, can't see it! :-) I'm so not a fan of big messes either, but I have learned to take a photo so I can laugh later! (And get lots of blog sympathy!) My kids know how bad I hate hot chocolate because it ALWAYS makes a mess! And yet I still buy it...sigh.
