(For reference: First picture Good ear, second is morning ear, below is afternoon ear and last is night ear. She was even on benedryl all day and it kept getting worse.)

They tell me she is fine and to just give her benedryl and see how it looks tomorrow. I say OK, and take her home. Then at 8:30pm Stephen finally gets home from work and takes a look at it. By this time it is so turgid that it is oozing a clear liquid. Really she looked like Dumbo the elephant. Her ear was huge and swollen and leaking. So we decide to take her to insta-care thinking she needs an antibiotic. The insta-care doctor takes one look at it and tells me to go to Primary Children Emergency Room, because she needs I.V. antibiotics.
I get to Primary Children's at about 10pm and we wait, and wait, and wait.

In our room waiting (around 11pm)Three doctors come into look at it and finally decide it's just an allergic reaction to something and not infected. So they send in the nurse, who coincidentally is the old Miss Utah, who we went to dinner with a couple of years ago at La Caille. (small world)

She gives Macy a single dose of Benedryl and we arrive home by midnight. So I had to pay a $200 emergency room co-pay and then $50 for the other 2 office visits and it turned into a very expensive allergic reaction. But, I'm OK with it, seeing as my daughter still has an ear and it didn't go unnoticed, with a slight chance that it could have been a poisonous spider bite.
FYI the swelling has dramatically gone down and there is no more oozing. YEAH!

"...who coincidentally is the old Miss Utah..." You retold this story so well, I was cracking up! Although I should have not been laughing because poor Macy and her ear! Glad it's better!
It's Jill Steven's. Remember the one that was in the army?
Anisha, I'm so sorry! I've done one of those late nights in the waiting room at Primary's. Not fun. You've had enough of hospitals lately... Glad Macy is okay!
Poor Macy...I am sorry that you had to go through all of that, but it is good that things turned out okay.
